Ladies and Gentlemen: The Cleverest Band in the World; The C.U. marching Band, presents a comment on several figures on the current political scene.

[March out to "Happy Days"]

In the Boston Mayoralty race, Mrs. Louise Day Hicks was hardly a dark horse candidate. Showing our opinion of this disappointed white thoroughbred mare, the Band forms the North end of a Southbound horse.

[Play "Old Gray Mare", Break to All Day Sucker]

Another woman candidate, Shirley Temple Black, has joined George Murphy and Ronald Reagan in the ranks of actors turned politicians in California. The Band's "all day sucker" describes the willingness of California voters to accept such glamorous candidates.

[Play "Good Ship Lollipop", Break to Washed Brain]

George Romney, an aspiring Republican presidential candidate, claimed this fall that his views on the Vietnam war had been distorted by the administration. Perhaps before Mr. Romney throws his hat into the ring, he should take his foot out of his mouth. The Band now forms Governor Romney's washed brain.

[Play "Mr. Clean"]

While various Republicans make their moves in the Presidential race, the Democratic candidate is also far from being chosen. Though many believe that President Johnson will easily capture the nomination, the Band would like to show its estimation of his backing in the Democratic party.
